Term 2 seems to be flying by with lots of exciting events and learning taking place. Two weeks ago we had our open days and we had lots of families through the school. I have to congratulate the 5/6 students who took charge of the school tours. They did an amazing job showcasing all the great things about our school. Thank you to all grade 5/6 students who did a mini working bee before the open days to have the yard looking spectacular for the visitors.
This year we have Mrs Charmaine Wilson in a new Mental Health and Well-Being Leader role. This role is a new government initiative that aims to build the capacity of school staff to identify, support and refer students with mental health and well-being needs. The role is different to other well-being roles as it is not a “counsellor” but rather embedding practices and skills throughout the school to continually support all students. If you have any questions about the role please contact me. Charmaine is doing a great job understanding our student and staff needs to ensure the best possible impact on our school that can be maintained for a long time.
In the first week of next term we will be holding our School Learning Interviews. These interviews are a chance to discuss with your child's teachers the learning strengths and challenges. More information about booking a meeting will be sent out soon.
Kind regards,
Julian

2nd June ~ Mack & Darby
Congratulations to Mack & Darby who generously raised money for their local CFA. The boys took time out of their day while on their camping holiday to make beautiful friendship bracelets. Mack & Darby then sold these one of a kind bracelets to raise nearly $50.
Together they have displayed extreme kindness, charity and iniative. They are very proud of themselves for making a wonderful contribution to a great cause. The boys were also published in the local newspaper for their generosity.
Well done Mack & Darby!!
To celebrate student's achievements, we will be presenting children with Star Of The Week awards. This is a self nominated award of something a student is proud of. It could be something academic, sports related, or a personal achievement. Have you learnt to ride a bike? Won 1st place in a dance competition? Read a book by yourself? Anything that makes you proud!
Forms can be found on the link below.
