I cannot believe how quickly we are coming towards the end of the year. Next Thursday, the 30th of November at 11:30am, the students will be spending some time in next year's class with their new teacher as a part of their 2024 transition. Students will spend around two hours getting to know their new teacher and classmates. Parents will be informed Thursday afternoon of which teacher your child has for next year.
Staff have spent a great deal of time considering which class will be the best fit for each child. There are many factors to take into account when making these decisions but ultimately the staff have the best knowledge of the class structures that will most benefit the learning and teaching of each child and create the safest environment. I ask that you trust the judgement of our staff but please speak to me if there are concerns or questions with your child’s class.
The classroom teachers for next year are:
Foundation
Mrs Serrin Stobie
Mrs Virginia Hellings
1-2
Mrs Belinda Howard
Miss Rebecca Halley
Miss Kiah Morris
3-4
Mrs Bree Burgiel
Miss Ebony Fixter
5-6
Mrs Rebecca Stobie
Mr Byron Sandeman
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Kind regards,
Julian

17th November ~ Payton Robson
Congratulations to Payton who has been learning to roller skate. She has been diligently practicing the fun art of roller skating which is not an easy craft to master. It takes a lot of time and perserverance with potentially many crashes, bruises and tears along the way.
I'm sure Payton will have many hours of fun with the wind blowing in her hair as she skates her way through the day.
Well done Payton!!
To celebrate student's achievements, we will be presenting children with Star Of The Week awards. This is a self nominated award of something a student is proud of. It could be something academic, sports related, or a personal achievement. Have you learnt to ride a bike? Won 1st place in a dance competition? Read a book by yourself? Anything that makes you proud!
Forms can be found on the link below.
COLOUR EXPLOSION SCHOOL FUN RUN
You and your family are truly amazing! It is wonderful to share that our Colour Explosion School Fun Run was a huge success.
It is fantastic to see the spirit and enthusiasm that was displayed in supporting our school. Of course, the true highlight is the smiles on the student’s faces as they ran their Colour Explosion School Fun Run.
In the end, we have raised $7,896 which will go toward redeveloping the outdoor area near the gazebo. We have plans in place and hope to begin stage one of the project early next year.
More smiles to come! Your incentive prizes have been ordered and are on their way! They will arrive shortly and be distributed to students accordingly.
Again, our most sincere thanks for your support and fundraising efforts. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Congratulations to both Sunny and Isla Caffrey who both recently competed at the Interschool ring Gymkhana at the Sale Show. Both girls did their very best and each of them ended up with the highest points in their respective category. Sunny, competed in grade prep-1 and Isla competed in grade 4-5. There was plenty of competition from various schools travelling to the event. They also won their first beautiful Garland and rug.
Both girls had another successful competition at the Stratford Interschool Gymkhana. They both came away with lots of ribbons. Sunny won reserve champion in her age group also. Isla and Sunny teamed up with St Mary's Sale and together their score won them third place overall out of the 150 entrants.
Well done Sunny and Isla!! Go St Mary's.
Come along and celebrate the end of the year festivities with the families of our school community with LIVE MUSIC and a SAUSAGE SIZZLE!!
This FREE event is put on by our fabulous P&F in thanks of all your support throughout the year with our school fundraisers.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Financial concessions are available to eligible families. It is important to note, when concessions are provided, there is no impact on the overall school funding situation.
These concessions may include the Camps Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) of $150 per child. Concessions are available through the following two categories.
Category 1: Eligible, means-tested Centrelink Concession Card holders:
A family in which the fee payer holds an eligible, means-tested Health Care Card (HCC) or Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) is automatically eligible for a school fee concession. There is a simplified application form and streamlined approval process.
Category 2: Special Consideration:
A family experiencing genuine financial difficulty and not eligible under Category 1, is encouraged to apply for a fee concession. This application requires detailed information in order that an equitable assessment may be made of eligibility for and level of a fee concession.
Application forms are available from the school office and only need to be completed if this is a new application. Current concession holders do not need to reapply.

I have been running a small drama school in Sale since 2017, offering drama classes for students from Foundation to year 8 on Saturday mornings. Classes operate out of The Wedge and align with the Victorian curriculum standards, with a focus on creative development collaborative skills. Classes have been full for the past two years, but some vacancies have opened up as students move up into the older groups.
