Athletics

On the 26th of August, students of St Mary’s Maffra went to Sale to compete in District Athletics. We competed against many other great athletes from different schools.

The day ran nicely and everyone had a great time! We had great success on the day, with most students coming home with ribbons. Overall we did an amazing job and represented the school with pride. The next step is the Wellington Division Athletics Carnival, which a few of us are moving on to. A big thank you to Mrs Stobie for organising it, and Mr Morgs for helping out on the day!

Athletics

 Last week a group of students from St Mary’s went to the Heyfield and district Athletics carnival to compete against other schools.  We caught a bus to the Sale Athletics oval.  Everyone had a crack and did really well.  The events that we competed in were 1500m run, 200m run, 100m run, discus, shot put, high jump, relay and hurdles.  Overall, we had a really good day and there was a lot of support.  Lots of students won ribbons and some people are going on to compete in the next stage.
