Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop
On Thursday 8th August, we will celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop. Mary MacKillop became known as Mary, Sister of St Joseph after officially opening the first Saint Joseph's School in South Australia. We are a Josephite school, meaning that our school was established in 1905 by the Sisters of St Joseph, who continued Mary MacKillop's work.
We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with a whole school mass on Thursday 8th August at 9:30am at St Mary's Church. We will then celebrate in the afternoon in our classrooms, learning all about Mary and the work she did for schools and the poor.
