Hello Everyone

Thankyou for the warm welcome I have received from you all since joining St Mary’s. I am enjoying getting to know the students and I look forward to meeting you along the way. 

It was great to be able to get out and participate in our school Cross Country event yesterday. Well done to all students on their effort. It was lovely to see students encouraging one another and showing great sportsmanship. Congratulations to Corbett house who were the overall winners. Best of luck to the students who will be representing St Mary’s at District Cross Country this coming Monday 9th May. 

Last week our Year 4s went off on school camp and an amazing time was had by all. A huge amount of work happens behind the scenes in planning a camp and we all thank the 3/4 teaching team including Tara and Gerard, in supporting our students to experience such a wonderful opportunity. 

This year St Mary’s will have the opportunity to participate in Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 20th May.  National Walk Safely to School Day is a community initiative that aims to raise awareness of the health, road safety, transport and environmental benefits that regular walking (especially to and from school) can provide for the long term well-being of our children. Please stay tuned for more information in relation to this day. 

A reminder that parents are welcome to enter the school grounds for morning drop off and afternoon pick up.  Finally, we wish the special people in our lives a lovely Mother’s Day this week. May you all enjoy time with family and friends this weekend.
